AccuTrack Provides a Competitive Edge
Searching for a Solution
Milwaukee, WI - January 7, 2007 - Accutech, a leader in long-range RFID asset tracking for over 20 years, is continuing to be an innovative solution that is one of the best available today. Response for Accutech’s Asset Tracking System, AccuTrack, has been positive. Several facilities ranging from museums, corporate and enterprise, transportation, healthcare and manufacturing companies currently use the AccuTrack system.
"The first step in providing an asset tracking and security solution is to understand the goals, objectives and business operations of our customer," says Steve Kroes, Accutech’s Asset Management Business Leader. "Once this is understood, our team can start to design and implement a successful tracking and security solution," he says.
Astro Tool & Die needed a solution that could give management a quick and accurate identification of where projects are in the manufacturing process while eliminating time and expenses. AccuTrack provided the solution.
"As a manufacturer in a competitive market, we are always in need of tools that will increase our efficiency while reducing wasted time and expense. AccuTrack has helped us improve our costs and services by providing our management team [with] a means to quickly and accurately ‘see’ where and when our materials are moving throughout the manufacturing process," says President Elmer Lorenzen of Astro Tool & Die.
High value assets are tracked using a small RFID tag. Operated by an internal battery, these tags emit a beacon that signals their location to area readers (or antennas), which are installed throughout the facility.
By simply placing the long-range RFID tags on assets and strategically locating AccuTrack RFID readers, even small businesses are able to increase productivity, reduce waste, increase margins and enhance their management team’s ability to run a more efficient business.
AccuTrack reduces theft of valuable assets and identifies the location of equipment and personnel in any facility quickly and cost effectively, through the use of RFID technology.
